If you have some spare time and would like to make a difference in peoples lives in Aberdeenshire we would love to hear from you. We have several volunteering opportunities available (see below) and ask for only a small time commitment each week.

We are always looking for volunteers to assist with our Signposting and Out and About Projects and to offer background support through administrative, IT and research roles.

As a volunteer you will be asked:

  • To adhere to and respect all aspects of confidentiality and other project guidelines and procedures.
  • To undertake any administrative duties (expense forms, contact sheets)
  • To communicate effectively with Project Workers, other staff and volunteers and third parties.

There are a variety of roles within the project, from working directly with clients, to researching information, assisting with administrative tasks, database entry etc.

Knowledge of the local community, a basic knowledge of mental health issues, a sense of humour and patience are desirable.

We are always grateful for the time our volunteers give us and we try wherever possible to tailor volunteering roles to suit the requirements and skills of the individual.

Volunteers are encouraged to enhance and develop their skills working with a dedicated team offering a valuable service to vulnerable people throughout Aberdeenshire.

If you are empathetic, practical, have good communication skills and are looking for a challenging, interesting and fulfilling volunteering experience you may be just what our clients need.
