The Carers Information Project

The Carers Information Project works to help anyone who looks after someone else, even for a short time on a regular basis.

We work to connect people to organisations and services who can offer support, guidance and help in their role as carers.

About The Project

The project works throughout Garioch and Buchan to connect with people who are not receiving support in their role as a carer.

Many people look after a friend, relative, spouse or child without realising that they are carers and that they can access services to support them in their role.

The project is open to anyone who looks after someone else and who could benefit from being connect to organisations, agencies and community support.

Can we help you?

  • Do you look after someone even for a short time every week?
  • Are you receiveing support to help you look after the person you care for?
  • Do you or the person you look after live in Garioch or Buchan?

The Signposting Project is piloting a service in Garioch and Buchan for people who look after a relative, friend or neighbour and who could benefit from being connected to organisations, agencies and community support to help them in their role.

What we can offer

We work with people to:

  1. Connect to carer support organisations
  2. Connect to other carers for support
  3. Find services, organisations and groups in the local area
  4. Talk to people who understand their situation and know how to help
  5. Direct people to other sources of help, such as condition specific support organisations.
